This Senior Practitioner post sits within the Targeted Support teams at Cambridgeshire County Council and supports the council's new Families First model. The work centres on giving specialist social work guidance to Family Help Lead Practitioners and helping managers judge levels of need and the right response. Postholders will not hold cases or manage staff, and they will travel across the county.
Appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
- Give social work advice to Family Help Lead Practitioners
- Support Family Help Managers, including those in Targeted Support, Social Care and Lead Child Protection Practitioners, in deciding levels of need and response
- Help develop the new Families First model
- Experience as a child protection practitioner
- Enhanced DBS check
- Willingness to travel across Cambridgeshire
