Position: Staff Full Stack Engineer

Technology is at the heart of this fast-growing digital bank — powering the systems that make business banking simpler, faster and smarter. This role is about setting the technical direction across payments, shaping scalable systems, and helping engineering teams deliver consistently high-quality software.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Define and implement technical standards that span multiple teams, including authentication, design tokens and tracing.
  • Design, build and deploy full-stack web applications using React, Type Script and Kotlin.
  • Simplify system architecture and enhance scalability across the payments platform.
  • Establish and maintain reliability metrics, SLOs and incident management best practice.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design to ensure technical strategies support business goals.
  • Champion secure coding practices and ensure compliance across services.
  • Lead the adoption of approved GenAI tools and best practice (e.g. Git Hub Copilot).
  • Mentor engineers, encourage knowledge sharing, and help shape the wider engineering culture.
Main Skills Needed
  • Strong experience designing backend services in Kotlin or Java with REST and OpenAPI.
  • Proven experience in system design at scale, simplifying complex architectures.
  • Understanding of CI/CD and Dev Ops principles (Azure Dev Ops experience ideal).
  • Strong background in testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright or Cypress.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with micro frontends or Nx, and partnering closely with design teams.
What’s in It for You
  • Work in a modern, agile engineering environment free from legacy systems.
  • Real influence on technical direction, architecture and standards.
  • Supportive, collaborative culture built around ownership and transparency.
  • Opportunity to mentor, innovate and shape how a growing engineering function operates.
  • A company that values speed, openness, and getting things done the right way.

We’ll keep this simple: if it sounds good, get in touch.
