Labourer​/Driver

Overview

Our team is the best in the industry. The role involves working in the Plant and Tool division, handling equipment such as diggers, dumpers and small tools for customers across the construction, utilities and infrastructure sectors. The Labourer Driver is responsible for keeping the workshop and yard areas clean and tidy, ensuring these areas are clear of hazards and tools are stored away correctly.

The role also includes ensuring that any plant equipment leaving the depot has been pressure cleaned and refuelled, with fuel logs updated accurately. When needed, the Labourer Driver will load, deliver and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites. On customer sites, there may be a requirement to carry out hire equipment demonstrations and complete all relevant checks and administration.

• Keep the workshop and yard areas clean and tidy and free of hazards
• Ensure tools are stored away correctly
• Ensure plant equipment leaving the depot is pressure cleaned and refuelled, with fuel logs updated accurately
• Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites in a timely and professional manner
• On customer sites, carry out hire equipment demonstrations and complete all relevant checks and administration

• Previous experience in a labourer role, preferably within a hire depot/yard environment
• Strong team player who will support colleagues with additional tasks when required
• Ability to work on own initiative in a fast-paced depot environment with high attention to detail
• Full driving licence is essential
• CSCS card and forklift licence are preferable
