Sortation Supervisor

Sortation Supervisor – Milton Keynes Night Shift

Shift: Wednesday to Saturday, night shift.

• Task Allocation & Personnel Scheduling: develop sorting plans based on cargo volume and efficiency targets, allocate tasks to team members, and coordinate equipment usage to ensure timely and orderly sorting and dispatch operations.
• Process Oversight & Optimisation: supervise sorting operations to ensure adherence to operational standards, address deviations promptly, and analyse operational bottlenecks to optimise sorting routes and methods, enhancing process standardisation and efficiency.
• Exception Handling & Quality Assurance: address anomalies such as damaged goods and sorting errors, provide timely feedback and solutions, and conduct random quality checks to ensure accuracy and minimise error rates.
• Team Leadership & Development: oversee daily sorting team operations, organise skills and safety training to enhance proficiency and awareness, and foster a positive team environment to boost cohesion and execution capabilities.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: collaborate with loading/unloading, transportation and other departments to ensure seamless logistics flow, facilitate timely communication and joint problem‑solving to optimise interlink efficiencies across the logistics chain.

• Experience in warehousing and ideally previous sortation.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and organisational skills.
• Clear communication skills.
