Refuse Driver

Brentwood Pay Rate: £17.78 per hour PAYE

Hours:

37 hours per week Monday to Friday, 7:30am 3:30pm

Temporary Ongoing Lynx Employment Services are recruiting for an experienced Refuse Driver (HGV Class
2) on behalf of our local authority client in Brentwood. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional HGV Driver to join a busy waste and recycling team, helping to deliver essential environmental services to the local community.

Key Responsibilities Driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently. Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects. Supporting refuse collection operations across the borough. Working closely with loaders and operational teams to complete scheduled routes. Ensuring compliance with road traffic legislation and health and safety procedures. Maintaining a professional and courteous approach when interacting with members of the public.

Requirements Valid HGV Class 2 (Category

C) licence. Valid Driver CPC qualification. Digital Tachograph Card. Previous experience driving refuse collection vehicles or similar HGV vehicles is desirable. Good understanding of driver hours, vehicle safety and compliance requirements. Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team. Benefits Competitive hourly rate of £17.78 PAYE. Monday to Friday working pattern. No weekend working. Ongoing temporary assignment with potential for long-term opportunities.
