Working pattern: 37.00 hours per week. This is a Full‑Time role, working Monday to Friday with a few Saturdays. Shift patterns will vary and run between 02:00 and 21:30 Monday to Friday, and 02:00 to 12:00 on some Saturdays. A good amount of flexibility will be required for this role.

Royal Mail Relay was first established in 1999, providing services to Government, financial, premium retail and healthcare sectors that all require the very best logistics partner.

We provide market leading, bespoke, scheduled collection and next‑day delivery service for organisations with multiple sites across the UK, operating from 15 depots nationwide and servicing over 100 contracts with a dedicated team of 350 employees.

Our network is secure, self‑sufficient and independent. We also operate to higher‑than‑normal security and vetting standards due to government compliance, and we are keyholders for many customer locations. Our drivers cover a massive 10 million miles per year, so a love for the road is a must!

A bit about the role
  • Plan your route each day using route‑planning technology.
  • Collect and deliver pouches, parcels, tote boxes to small and large businesses on a designated route.
  • Scan items on and off the route to provide tracking information to customers and colleagues.
A bit about you
  • Valid UK driving licence: full, manual UK licence for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, registered at your current UK address, with no more than 6 penalty points. This will be shown at assessment.
  • Self‑motivated and reliable: upbeat, able to work unsupervised, takes pride in work and can be relied on to meet tight timelines.
  • Multi‑drop delivery: comfortable driving for long periods and delivering parcels up to 30 kg, including peak traffic hours. Familiarity with digital route‑planning tools or willingness to learn is essential.
  • Flexible to service demands: willing to work paid overtime, including Saturdays, and support colleagues to get deliveries to customers on time.
  • Customer service: excellent communication skills and dedicated to delivering outstanding service.
  • Fit for background checks: proof of Right to Work in the UK and pass basic criminal record and financial security checks.
