Join MNP as a Senior Accountant dedicated to Indigenous assurance and accounting services. Your expertise will empower diverse communities and foster strong, productive relationships.
In this impactful role, you will provide accounting services to more than 250 Indigenous groups across Canada. With your CPA designation and a minimum of 2-4 years of public accounting experience, you will handle financial reporting and assure compliance with standards. Engage with clients while mentoring junior staff and driving business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements
• Guide clients through government reporting requirements
• Ensure evidence is adequate for audits and expenses
• Organize records for audit readiness and best practices
• Investigate financial discrepancies and make corrections
Requirements:
• CPA designation required, with 2-4 years experience
• Knowledge of First Nations communities is a plus
• Deep understanding of GAAP and Public Sector Accounting Standards
• Proficient with accounting and tax software
• Ability to travel for client needs
