The HCDSB is looking to fill an existing full-time vacancy for a Grade 1 Teacher. Candidates should possess the required qualifications under the Education Act and be committed to creating an equitable and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with staff to enhance learning outcomes
• Develop engaging lesson plans for Grade 1 students
• Assess and report on student progress regularly
• Support students' social and emotional development
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
• Ontario Certified Teacher status required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent
• Understanding of Ontario’s education policies and practices
• Commitment to equity and inclusion in education
• Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners
