LTO Teacher: Hairstyling & Aesthetics at HDSB

Join Halton District School Board as a Long Term Occasional Teacher for Hairstyling and Aesthetics for the  school year. This role is designed for educators passionate about technological education.

HDSB is offering an LTO teaching position focused on Technological Education, specifically Hairstyling and Aesthetics. Candidates must possess both Intermediate and Senior qualifications, plus teaching qualifications in two different Senior subjects. A valid Ontario College of Teachers certification and a Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening are prerequisites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct Hairstyling and Aesthetics classes effectively

• Create innovative and hands-on lesson plans

• Evaluate and provide feedback on student work

• Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere

• Work collaboratively with other educators

Requirements:

• Intermediate and Senior qualifications required

• Valid OCT certificate in Good Standing

• Criminal Background Check required

• Proficiency in online learning tools like Brightspace
