Operating Engineer Power Systems

Take your engineering career further as an Operating Engineer in Cochrane, Ontario, where you'll be integral to power generation operations. This position features a rotating shift schedule.

In this role, you will support the operation and maintenance of the facility’s gas and steam turbine systems. Collaborating with senior leadership, your focus will be on regulatory compliance, plant monitoring, and conducting essential equipment inspections to optimize performance. Your assessment skills will help mitigate operational issues in a 24/7 generation environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate plant monitoring for operational efficiency

• Oversee start-up and shutdown of turbine systems

• Conduct detailed equipment inspections

Requirements:

• TSSA-certified 2nd Class Power Engineer

• Proven experience with turbine operations

• Certification in power engineering or similar field

• Solid understanding of electrical and hydraulic circuits

• Proficiency in interpreting technical diagrams
