Internship: Custom Order Engineering Specialist
What You’ll Do
Eaton is seeking an Intern - Custom Order Product Specialist to join our Engineering team for a 16-month term.

Start DateMay 2026.
Hourly Rate$20-$25 per hour (salary is a general guideline; actual compensation depends on qualifications and market).
Position OverviewThis position will work closely with Custom Order Product Specialists, creating and updating as-built ACAD‑Electrical drawings, improving front‑end tools (MS Office), supporting design automation projects, and participating in Mechanical Design Team continuous improvement activities.
Essential Functions- Creating and updating ACAD‑Electrical drawings and supporting Engineering Department activities.
- Improving and maintaining databases (MS Access) and MS Office tools.
- Participating in plant‑wide lean initiatives.
- Supporting Engineering Department with cost improvements and quality initiatives.
- Completing other duties/projects as required.
- Currently enrolled in, and returning to, a college or university degree program in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Must reside within 120 km of Milton, ON, Canada; relocation is not offered.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada with no company sponsorship.
- Prior internship or co‑op experience.
- Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ACAD Electrical and Microsoft applications.
- Strong customer‑service focus, confidentiality, high professionalism, and time‑management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely on multiple projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Good analytical, problem‑solving, mathematical, and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
