EWP Designer Estimator Position

Doman Building Solutions is seeking an EWP Designer/Estimator for our Acton, ON location. This full-time, on-site position involves creating designs and estimates for engineered wood products, utilizing your CAD skills and construction knowledge.

As an EWP Designer/Estimator, you will prepare detailed drawings and material lists using proprietary software while consulting with a variety of construction professionals regarding designs and project details. You'll maintain key project files and provide essential support to both customers and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create professional design drawings and quotes with CAD tools

• Collaborate with architects and builders on design issues

• Manage project files and job tracking systems

• Size structural components using software applications

• Provide sales assistance and technical support as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of design experience in the industry

• Strong CAD capabilities required

• Ability to read architectural blueprints

• Knowledge of engineered wood products and construction terminology

• Civil or Architectural Technologist training
