Health and Safety Engineering Co-Op

Leverage your engineering studies at IKO Industries as an HSE Engineering Co-Op based in Milton, Ontario. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to health and safety initiatives in a real-world setting.

Working with Maxi-Mix and the Plant Maintenance team, you will have your hands on strategic projects that develop industry-standard procedures. Ideal for current engineering students or recent graduates, this position emphasizes teamwork and practical applications of engineering concepts, allowing you to make meaningful contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Maintenance Manager on safety procedures

• Evaluate and enhance current maintenance practices

• Assist with spare parts optimization for critical equipment

• Contribute to engineering drawings and project modeling

• Collaborate with trades to ensure accurate documentation

Requirements:

• Enrollment in a post-secondary engineering program

• Solid computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office

• Knowledge of CMMS or similar software is a benefit

• Capacity to read engineering drawings and designs

• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
