  • Create and maintain complex 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using Solid Works.
  • Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical documentation, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Ensure all designs meet internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform engineering calculations and conduct FEA studies to validate design integrity.
  • Manage CAD standards, material databases, templates, and design best practices.
  • Support process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing design quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with project management, manufacturing, and sales teams to translate customer needs into effective design solutions.
  • Provide technical updates and recommendations to senior leadership throughout project lifecycle.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Skills & Attributes

  • Proficiency with Solid Works and related engineering tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of aviation standards or ground support equipment is an asset.

Experience & Education

  • 5–7 years of mechanical design experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced credentials or professional engineering designation (preferred).
  • Split between office and manufacturing floor environments.
  • Occasional lifting and required use of PPE.
