JOB SUMMARY

The Intermediate Civil/Structural Engineer is an experienced engineering professional who independently performs and coordinates civil and structural engineering activities for mining, industrial and infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Civil/Structural Team Lead, the Intermediate Civil/Structural Engineer performs engineering analysis and design, establishes design criteria and structural loading requirements, and designs buildings, structural steel systems, reinforced concrete structures, foundations, equipment foundations and other structures associated with mining and industrial facilities. The Engineer identifies and applies applicable codes, standards and regulatory requirements and works closely with Civil/Structural Designers to develop coordinated and constructable project designs.

The Intermediate Civil/Structural Engineer is accountable for the technical quality and completion of assigned engineering work and exercises professional engineering judgment within their area of competence and assigned responsibility.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
