SLR Consulting is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to enhance our tailings management strategies for sustainable mining. Lead design initiatives while working collaboratively with diverse teams.
In this full-time role at SLR Consulting, you will contribute significantly to our North American mine waste engineering team. You will utilize over 10 years of mining industry experience along with knowledge of current industry trends. Your responsibilities include technical leadership, mentoring young engineers, and overseeing innovative backfill projects that drive sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership for multi-disciplinary engineering studies
• Develop backfill concepts for presentation to senior clients
• Mentor and guide project engineers in technical direction
• Conduct economic evaluations of possible plant solutions
• Enhance compliance in technical documentation and reporting
Requirements:
• Over 10 years' experience in the mining industry
• 5 years operational experience at processing facilities
• Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer
• Knowledge of dewatering technologies
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally
