Music Director Concert Band

The band seeks an experienced Music Director to guide its 40 members in weekly rehearsals. The position requires effective leadership and the ability to challenge musicians of all skill levels. The band performs regularly in the community, celebrating musical expression throughout the concert season from September to July, including ticketed events and free summer concerts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead weekly rehearsals every Thursday night

• Curate music repertoire for various performances

• Foster musical skills in adult musicians effectively

• Organize several concerts during the year

• Solve tuning and playing challenges with the band

Requirements:

• Experience conducting community bands is essential

• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
