Enforcement Officer for Animal Services

The Animal Services Officer is vital for enforcing the Town's animal control regulations and ensuring compliance with relevant by-laws.

Your role will include the humane capture and transportation of animals, responding to community concerns, and collaborating with various municipal departments. You’ll utilize your investigative skills to resolve disputes effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor compliance of animal control and related laws

• Transport and care for injured or dangerous animals

• Clean and maintain records for vehicles and equipment

• Conduct kennel inspections and assess compliance

• Address after-hours emergencies for animal concerns

Requirements:

• Diploma in Law & Security or a related discipline

• Two years’ experience in animal control

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Valid Class G Ontario Driver's License

• Certification as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer within three years
