The Town of Milton is seeking a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer for a contract position. This role focuses on investigating by-law infractions, preparing compliance documentation, and enforcing parking regulations effectively. You will collaborate with various municipal departments while ensuring public safety and adherence to local legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate and report by-law infractions
• Prepare compliance documents for violations
• Assist in drafting new by-laws and procedures
• Patrol assigned areas for parking enforcement
• Present evidence at tribunal hearings
Requirements:
• Minimum two years of enforcing regulatory by-laws
• Certification in Police Studies or related field
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License Class G
• Knowledge of Provincial Offences Act and municipal law
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
