Enhance patient care as a Part-Time Laboratory Assistant at Dynacare in Milton, Ontario. Obtain high-quality specimens and provide empathetic patient service, making a genuine difference every day.
In this permanent part-time role, you will be essential in obtaining blood samples and conducting various tests to ensure patient wellness. Your experience in phlebotomy will be critical as you interact directly with patients, providing a calming presence in potentially stressful situations. You'll also contribute to maintaining quality metrics within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Obtain quality blood samples using proficient venipuncture techniques
• Conduct patient tests including ECGs and urine collections
• Sort and prepare specimens for laboratory transportation
• Accurately enter patient and test information for Ministry requisitions
• Maintain confidentiality and support compliance with quality metrics
Requirements:
• Completed Secondary School and Laboratory Assistant training
• Certification in MLPAO/CSMLS is strongly recommended
• Experience in customer service and patient care
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
• Proficiency in English, written and verbal
