Become a key player in procurement as a Buyer at Chudleigh’s Bakery in Milton, ON. This onsite contract position requires strong negotiation and analytical skills to manage purchasing effectively.
Chudleigh’s Bakery is seeking a Buyer to join its team for a 6-month contract with potential for a permanent role. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of procurement experience, ideally in food manufacturing. You will develop procurement strategies, manage vendor relationships, and oversee material purchasing to maintain quality and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop procurement strategies for cost reduction
• Manage purchasing processes and specifications
• Obtain price quotations and supplier materials
• Coordinate contract agreements and vendor selection
• Conduct periodic inventory reviews and approvals
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
• 3-5 years of procurement experience
• Strong skills in negotiation and problem-solving
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Detail-oriented with a customer-focused mindset
