Forklift Operators

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company is looking for Certified Forklift Operators to start as soon as possible, at their Milton location.

Full time positions. Mandatory to have minimum 3 to 5 years or more experience in a warehouse, manufacturing environment (preferable in Automotive industry).

Must have Raymond Reach license & experience, Counterbalance, Walkie, Order Picker are good to have. This position includes heavy lifting upto 50 lbs.

Location:

Highway 401 and Martin St. (Milton ON)

All 3 Shifts Available:

Morning shift 6:00 am - 2:30 pm and Afternoon shift 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm (on rotational basis every 2 weeks)
Night shift 10:00 pm - 6:30 am

Payrates:

Morning shift - Base pay $22.16/hr + 4% vacation pay
Afternoon shift - Base pay $22.56/hr + 4% vacation pay
Night shift - Base pay $22.76/hr + 4% vacation pay

Responsibilities:

- Operate forklifts to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring that items are handled safely and efficiently.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.

Requirements:

- Proven experience for 3-5 or more years as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within manufacturing or warehouse distribution.
- Must have valid forklift certification specifically in Raymond Reach, Counterbalance - both Electric & Propane and Tow Tractor; and Walkie is good to have.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory.
- Basic math skills for accurate order picking and inventory management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift upto 30-50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Must have:

- CSA approved steel-toed safety shoes/boots, safety glasses, safety vest and earplugs. Must be comfortable wearing them all the time while working.
- Must be able to work full time 40 hours every week.
- Must be eligible to work legally in Canada.
- Can work in-person and stand for longer period of time as required.
