The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 CAD
. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.

Your future team:

You will become part of the Supply Chain Planning Team and will be reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager in North America. You will lead a team of 4 Production Planners.

What you will be doing:

In this role, you will convert demand and supply plans into executable, efficient production plans that balance service, cost, and capacity. You will be the key link between medium‑term capacity planning and short‑term factory execution, ensuring planners have an end‑to‑end view of the supply chain and make decisions that support both operational performance and our growth ambitions.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Production Planners, building a high‑performing, accountable, and collaborative planning culture.
  • Own the end‑to‑end production planning process from demand hand‑off through capacity and line‑level planning for your factories.
  • Ensure short‑ and medium‑term production plans align with demand, inventory targets, and capacity, clearly managing service, cost, and capacity trade‑offs.
  • Lead or participate in key forums (e.g., Production Meetings, S&OP Supply Review) to represent production planning, highlight risks/opportunities, and agree on actions.
  • Work closely with Sales, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Customer Service to align plans, resolve conflicts, and ensure realistic, executable schedules.
  • Partner with plant leadership to plan and manage downtime, constraints, and changes, proactively adjusting plans to protect customer service and throughput.
  • Develop, standardize, and continuously improve production planning processes, tools, and ways of working across sites.
  • Define, track, and communicate key planning KPIs, using data and analytics to understand performance, drive decisions, and prioritize actions.
  • Ensure timely escalation and follow‑through on corrective and preventive actions, reinforcing a continuous improvement and problem‑solving mindset in the team.
  • What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in production or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment, preferably across multiple sites.
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience (formal manager or team lead), with a track record of coaching and developing talent.
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end planning (demand, supply, capacity, and factory‑level production planning).
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP and planning systems (ideally SAP and APO/IBP or similar advanced planning tools).
  • High proficiency in Excel and comfort working with data, KPIs, and analytics to support decision‑making.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional collaboration and influence stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex planning topics in a clear, practical way to both plant and office stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, structured, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving, dynamic environment.
  • Strong ownership mindset, with a focus on service, continuous improvement, and challenging the status quo to find better ways of working.
  • What we offer:

At ROCKWOOL, our culture is one of teamwork, respect, and support. We offer a competitive salary, rewarding career and a comprehensive…
