Sheet Metal CNC​/Press Brake Operator

What’s the Job?

The Sheet Metal CNC / Press Brake Operator is responsible for the setup and operation of fabrication equipment used in producing parts for standard and custom panel boards and switchboards. This role supports internal and external customers and operates out of the Milton, ON facility.

Pay Rate: $22.00 – $25.00/hr
6 Month Contract

• Safely operate fabrication machines (shearing, punching, bending) following training, SOPs, work instructions, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform pre‑start safety checks and report any issues.
• Conduct simple preventative maintenance tasks.
• Set up machines ensuring guards, interlocks, and safety systems are in proper working condition.
• Operate Dynamic Machine Management (DMM) software.
• Use drawing vault systems (Enovia, Vault, etc.) to view/print fabrication drawings.
• Interpret drawings, sketches, and manufacturing information to determine part dimensions.
• Determine operation sequence and feed material into machines.
• Organize completed production orders (bin selection, tagging, palletizing) and route to next process.
• Monitor machines for jams, blockages, lubrication needs, and proper functioning.

• High school diploma (completed).
• Minimum 1 year of fabrication experience operating shearing, punching, and/or bending machines.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
• Must live within 80 km of Milton, ON.
