Mechanical Assembler Position at Eaton

Eaton is looking for a Mechanical Assembler in Milton, Ontario, focused on large-scale switchboard assembly. Utilize your mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills in a stimulating work environment.

This position, under the Production Manager’s guidance, involves constructing large steel switchboard structures using hand and power tools.

Your role will require solid mechanical skills and effective communication in English. Candidates must be prepared for a physically active role, including significant lifting and standing, as well as using tools for assembly without involving electrical wiring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct switchboard structures and internal assemblies

• Secure components and subassemblies meticulously

• Create custom skids using various power tools

• Follow standard hardware application and torque techniques

• Inspect materials for alignment to quality standards

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 12 months of relevant mechanical assembly experience

• Proficiency with torque tools necessary

• Legal eligibility to work in Canada without sponsorship

• Must reside within 80 km of Milton, ON
