Job Type:  Permanent, Full-time

Shift Availability:  Monday - Friday, flexibility to work both Day and Afternoon shifts as needed, Weekends as needed

What You'll Be Doing:

Develop work instructions, training matrices and execution plans for optimal employee performance.

Strategize and cascade goals for direct reports to ensure annual expectations are clear.

Prompt resolution and follow through on issues while getting help where needed.

Troubleshoot and improve area operations, processes, equipment efficiency, SOP’s to improve performance and costs.

Maintain required documentation for BRC.

Utilize continuous improvement tools and promote this culture to improve performance (5S, Kamishibai, visuals, kaizens, etc.)

Ensure staff perform their activities in a safe manner and helps to correct any safety hazards for which they are aware. Monitors the peeler work area and tools to detect any unsafe conditions or violations to safety rules.

Schedules and supervises peeler staff, plans and assigns work with assistance of the Technical Operator. Able to ensure work tasks are completed in timely manner per daily schedules and plans PM work around scheduled downtime.

Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale.

Ensures daily performance is met per shift schedules and develops methods to improve upon performance targets (waste, uptime, overtime, etc.)

Trains employees regarding operating procedures, observes for behaviors and corrects where necessary. Ensure that all Chudleigh Traits are being followed and any issues are brought forward immediately.

Knowledgeable of industry regulations and able to implement them (OHSA, HACCP, GMP’s, BRC, Continuous Improvement methods).

Confers with management to coordinate larger work activities and to resolve problems.

Responsible for suggesting methods to improve peeler operations, processes, efficiency, and service. Inspects, tests, or measures completed work, using appropriate tools to complete the jobs efficiently and safely.

Adjusts work methods and procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities of machines, equipment, and personnel.
