This position focuses on the structural design of custom brand environments and specialized physical installations. You will develop creative concepts into functional, manufacture-ready reality. Specific responsibilities include engineering custom architectural components, modular event structures, specialty fixtures, and architectural lighting elements.
The ideal candidate balances strong aesthetic sensibilities with rigorous technical expertise to deliver beautiful, functional products. You must be comfortable adapting to evolving client specifications and managing the entire product lifecycle—from initial concept and material sourcing through manufacturing, logistics, and final on-site installation.
Technical Documentation: Generate detailed production drawingsValue Engineering: Optimize client-submitted designs to enhance aesthetics, reduce production expenses, and streamline fabrication efficiency without sacrificing design intent or user experienceDesign Optimization: Refine structural concepts to align precisely with specific manufacturing capabilities and material constraintsR&D and Innovation: Conduct ongoing research into emerging material technologies, design trends, and advanced fabrication methodologiesCross-Functional Collaboration: Consult and present design solutions to commercial account teams, creative staff, and the manufacturing floorConceptual Modeling: Develop initial concept models and spatial layouts using industry-standard digital prototyping toolsFeasibility Analysis: Evaluate project concepts for financial viability, practical execution, and functional usabilityContinuous Improvement: Help optimize internal workflows to shorten product development lifecycles and increase operational efficiencyQualifications
Technical Design: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite;
Sketch UpIndustry Knowledge: Understanding of display/signage materials, finishes, and manufacturing. Large-format digital print or acrylic/corrugate experience is a plus.Core Competencies: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills.Execution: Proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and multitask independently or within teams in fast-paced settings.
