Halton Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for a temporary part-time role within the MD Obstetrics LDRP department. This job share position entails flexible shift schedules, including day and night 12-hour shifts, focusing on both vaginal and Caesarean deliveries. Applicants should showcase expertise in prenatal assessment and effective care for mothers and newborns.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct prenatal assessments and triage for expectant mothers
• Provide care during labor, delivery, and recovery
• Administer venipuncture and IVs as needed
• Support breastfeeding and empower new mothers
• Flexibly work across the unit, ensuring family-centred care
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum of 2 years perinatal experience
• Basic Life Support certification
• Successful completion of required neonatal courses
• Current Obstetric O.R. certification
