Infusion Nurse at McKesson

Deliver exceptional patient-centered care as an Infusion Nurse with McKesson in Thunder Bay, ON. Administer specialty medications, monitor patients, and provide vital education to treatment processes.

In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care through administering IV and injectable medications in an ambulatory clinic. Collaborating with physicians and multi-disciplinary teams, you will conduct pre-treatment assessments and monitor patients throughout their treatment journey. You will be responsible for ensuring adherence to Health Canada guidelines while promoting patient independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-treatment assessments for therapy eligibility

• Initiate and manage peripheral IV access following best practices

• Administer specialty medications according to safety standards

• Monitor adverse events during and post-infusion

• Educate patients on treatment plans and medications

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with good standing in Ontario

• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in infusion

• Infusion certification or relevant hands-on experience

• Current CPR certification

• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
