Title:

Lead Quality Inspector

Reports To:

Quality Assurance Manager with dotted line to Quality Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform dimensional inspections in accordance with approved procedures.

Conduct final visual inspections of HPG customer products to verify compliance with all specifications and requirements.

Follow established inspection protocols and work instructions to ensure consistency, accuracy, and traceability.

Review and analyze inspection data to ensure conformance to design intent, dimensional tolerances, blueprints, and applicable specifications.

Communicate inspection findings, nonconformities, and trends to relevant departments in a timely and professional manner.

Perform calibration, verification, and basic maintenance of measuring and inspection equipment.

Oversee and perform final product packaging to ensure compliance with customer and internal requirements.

Train, mentor, and support new employees in inspection processes, documentation, and quality standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while promoting safe work practices across the team.

Ensure timely completion and accuracy of inspection records, quality documentation, and reporting requirements.

Perform other tasks within the department as required.

Ensure safety procedures and protections are followed.

Enforce safety procedures and ensure team consistently use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Provide directions to inspection personnel to ensure work is completed to established standards and expectations.

Support positive change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Ensure employee compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Monitor team performance, assign responsibilities, and support corrective discipline when necessary.

Manage packaging material inventory and coordinate with suppliers for quotations and replenishment as required.

Perform additional quality-related duties within the department as assigned.

Requirements

Three years of related experience is preferred.

Ability to take precise measurements using specialized equipment and techniques.

Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
