We are currently hiring a part-time Assistant Pastry Chef to join our team in Milton. Candidates must have flexibility and be available to work during the week, on the weekends & holidays and to start work as early as 6:00am.
In this role, the successful candidate will have a passion for making delicious desserts and a passion to learn. The role is focussed on assisting the pastry team and will involve cleaning and dishwashing.
What You Will Do:
- Assist pastry team with various food prep needs;
- Responsible for cleaning and dishwashing;
- Assist with pastry assembly and finishing;
- Assist with cookies - rolling, cutting, finishing;
- Assist with other baked goods - assembly/finishing
- Assist with creating edible decorative fondant/chocolate pieces
- Assist pastry chefs as required/directed
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of related work experience
- Baking/mixing/assembling knowledge
- Attention to detail
- Enjoy working with a team
