We are currently recruiting for Warehouse Associate Days & Afternoon Shifts (Contract) in its Global Headquarters located in Acton, ON, Canada.
This is a full-time role with an opportunity to become a permanent team member
More about the role:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for warehouse duties in any of the designated areas in the warehouse, which include LTL, Courier/Shipping, and Receiving and may be required to assist the Sample Room with warehouse-related duties.
Responsibilities:
Picking orders using a handheld device – using various warehouse machines to retrieve orders from different rooms and heights while identifying order specificationsPacking / processing orders into appropriate boxes according to sizing, model, order, colour, etc.Shrink wrapping skids, stacking and skid building in a safe mannerAssist with weights and measurements on products when neededVerifying orders and marking special orders with the appropriate labellingLoading trucks in an efficient manner while following all regulated safety precautionsCycle / inventory counts as requiredAssist with unloading / receiving of trucksAssist with customer pick-ups as requiredFollow and comply with all operational and safety procedures/ policies stated in the employee handbook, safety, customer service, quality and environment programsOther duties as assignedQualifications & Requirements:
Minimum one (1) year of warehouse / shipping experience preferredHigh school diploma requiredForklift, Walkie, WAVE, Tow Motor and Man-Up licenses will be required – training provided, experience/previous license preferredAbility to use hand-held device (e.g. RF scanner)Basic computer skills essentialMath skills required to ensure order accuracy – testing is part of the recruitment processStrong communication skills are essential to be able to work with all departments and outside contacts Ability to work independently and in a team settingExcellent communication skills – verbal and written.Good problem-solving skillsAn ability to understand when an issue needs to be escalated.Strong record keeping/documentation skills.Ability to use judgement to determine if the gloves are of good quality.Must be adaptable to fast and ongoing changes in priorities.Ability to lift up to 40lbs during regular duties along with bending/walking/pushing/pullingWe are a family owned and operated company meeting international standards by “Improving Occupational Hand Protection through Innovation”
