Senior Civil Engineer​/Project Manager

Overview

Pennoni is hiring! We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer who can also serve as our Project Manager while contributing on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Milton, DE.

• Development of construction drawings, specifications, and construction contract documents.
• Providing civil engineering design services, including site planning, infrastructure design, and stormwater management.
• Projects will be diverse:
  Commercial and Residential (including single and multi-family).
• Projects will include paving, drainage, grading, water & wastewater, and related work.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to problem solving in a team environment.
• Coordinate with clients and attend meetings, representing the company positively.
• Manage communication among internal and external teams, including contractors, architects, and government agencies.
• Contribute to marketing, planning, scoping, management, and coordination of all technical and financial aspects of assigned projects.
• Define project scope, develop detailed plans, and manage timelines and budgets.
• Ensure projects comply with relevant regulations, permits, and local jurisdiction requirements.
• Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering).
• PE license in DE (candidates able to obtain PE within 6 months of start date will be considered).
• At least 8 years of professional experience in engineering, preferably with design projects.

• Experience with commercial, retail, and/or residential land development and design projects.
• Management and/or Project Management experience.
• Financial management skills; experience with ensuring project profitability is a plus.
• Proficiency with CADD software, especially AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Hydro
  
  CAD.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and standard tools (MS Project, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
