We are hiring for an entry-level CAD Technician to join our team on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Milton, DE. This person will contribute primarily to our Site/Civil projects by assisting with critical drafting functions.

Position:
Engineering Technician I (CAD Technician) – Milton, DE. Entry-level role supporting site/civil project drafting and field-related tasks.

• Perform CAD Drafting while utilizing survey field data.
• Assist with the preparation of Land Development drawings (grading, utility, and SWM / E&S plans).
• Assist with the preparation of various forms of site/civil details & exhibits.
• Provide office support; this includes performing area, slope, and volume computations.
• Ensure scheduling and productivity objectives are achieved.
• Perform field work on an as-needed basis; observe construction and assist surveyors.
• Assist with obtaining relevant field data & measurements.
• Utilize relevant data when creating / adjusting workable construction blueprints.
• Work indoors as well as outdoors as needed.
• Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

This person may be expected to work in the field, as-needed, so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver’s License.

• Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Design Technology, or a related technical field of study is a plus.
• Proficiency with engineering / CADD tools; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus (training available).
• Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office software applications.
• Proven ability to utilize technical mathematics.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); active-listening skills are a plus.
