Under the direction of the Freestanding Emergency Manager and Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Management team, serves as a lead and resource person for problem solving related to the daily activities for the Freestanding ED CT/X-ray modalities. Primary duties in CT/X-ray include orienting new team members, communication, daily quality control, ensuring quality standards are met and compliance with departmental policies and regulations. Operates CT/X-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images of the anatomy requested by the referring physician.
Responsibilities- Perform exams in accordance with standard procedures and protocols, maintaining patient safety and proper positioning.
- Lead and manage team members during daily operations; provide adequate staffing 24/7 and post schedules one week prior.
- Assist the Freestanding ED site manager with annual performance evaluations; ensure technologists access policies and are knowledgeable of procedures.
- Participate in CT/X-ray applicant interviews, document hire recommendations, and ensure onboarding education is completed.
- Monitor equipment: review QC reports, report problems to Clinical Engineering, record QA logs, support ACR accreditation requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
- Education: Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent Certificate Program.
- Credentials: Registered Radiologic Technologist; CT Technical Competency-Based Orientation;
Basic Life Support;
Medical Radiologic Technologist. If RT (CT) held, CT CBO not required. - Experience: Minimum 18 months’ general CT/X-Ray experience.
