$17.50/hr – $21.00/hr

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in pharmacy practice and other department duties in accordance with state, federal, and company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• If PTCB certified, coach pharmacy technicians in pharmacy system operations and assist cashiers with pharmacy cash registers.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience; engage customers, resolve issues, and provide product/service assistance.
• Maintain accurate medication dispensing, including counting, measuring, and pouring, and verify medication correctness and interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and comply with quality improvement and error reporting procedures.
• Adhere to Walgreen Co. policies on Good Faith Dispensing.
• Handle cash register transactions and provide OTC aisle assistance when possible.
• Answer telephone calls not requiring pharmacist attention, including physician calls.
• Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services and perform clerical duties as assigned.
• Assist with pharmacy inventory management—ordering, unpacking, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticals; file claims for overages, shortages, or damaged goods.
• Support clinical services by collecting and labeling samples and coordinating with external providers.
• Build relationships with the local medical community through provider detailing and outreach.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and orderly pharmacy environment.
• Collaborate with coworkers and follow company policies.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state‑required certification.
• Complete required training programs, PPLs, and continuing education credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• At least six months of experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
