Senior Project Accountant – Construction Accounting

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Accountant to join our team. This exciting opportunity will see you working within our construction division, specifically focusing on multifamily projects. You will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This role is permanent and full‑time, offering a fantastic opportunity for career growth and development.

Salary:  70,000 –  100,000 per year.

• Oversee all financial aspects of our multifamily construction projects, from start to finish.
• Manage job costing processes, ensuring that all costs are accurately recorded and tracked.
• Prepare and process invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
• Conduct year‑end close procedures, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Maintain the ledger, recording all financial transactions and ensuring accuracy.
• Utilize Timberline and Viewpoint software to manage and track project finances.
• Manage Work in Progress (WIP) schedules, tracking project progress and costs.
• Handle Time and Material (T&M) billing and change orders, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
• Process lien waivers, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and filed.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide financial reports and updates to senior management, as required.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proven experience with job costing, invoicing, year‑end close procedures, and ledger maintenance.
• Experience with Timberline and Viewpoint software.
• Familiarity with WIP schedules, T&M billing, change orders, and lien waivers.
• Strong understanding of the financial aspects of construction projects, particularly multifamily projects.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
