Summary Of Position
The Grade 7 math teacher fosters a dynamic and inclusive learning environment focused on innovative teaching practices and student engagement. The individual is also expected to actively support students, create a positive classroom environment, and adjust teaching methods to support diverse learning styles as needed. This position primarily involves instructing courses in pre‑algebra and algebra, providing students with the following mathematical skills and habits of mind: computational fluency and conceptual understanding, problem‑solving, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration.
Units include rational numbers, geometry, and probability. This role requires the development and ongoing review of curriculum and course materials.
Base Salary
:
For the 2025–26 academic year, faculty salaries range from $50,000 to $120,000 annually. Placement within this range is determined by years of experience, in alignment with Milton Academy’s faculty salary scale, which is designed to ensure equitable pay progression.
Housing Stipend
:
Lower and Middle School Faculty members are not eligible to live on campus as part of the Upper School residential life program; therefore they will also receive an annual stipend of $12,600 (in 2025‑26) in addition to the base salary listed above.
NOTE:
Compensation for leave coverage positions will be prorated based on the duration of the appointment.
