Curry College is hiring a part‑time Associate Lecturer to teach an asynchronous online section of Operations Management.
Course InformationBUS 2550 - Operations Management - 3 credits
Operations management (OM) plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls the resources needed to produce goods and services. This course provides a management perspective of operations using a mathematical component. Concepts are arranged in progressive order from strategic to tactical, applying quantitative and qualitative analysis to OM concepts. Students explore the role of operations in building the firm’s competitive strength and fulfilling the firm’s goal of creating value and delivering customer satisfaction.
The course utilizes Excel‑based decision‑making tools and business analytics models to develop quantitative OM analyses. Finally, concepts are reinforced using marketplace OM simulations and mastered through an inquiry‑based project.

Prerequisites: BUS 1000, ACNT 1010, and MATH 1150.
Responsibilities- Plan and present course material.
- Establish specific requirements and inform students of them.
- Grade examinations and projects.
- Submit grades and early alerts timely.
- Explain grades to students.
- Utilize Canvas as the learning management system.
- Interact electronically with students outside the classroom and hold requisite office hours.
- A minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant discipline is required.
- A terminal degree in a relevant discipline is preferred for graduate‑level teaching.
- Significant and relevant professional experience may substitute for candidates whose degrees are not directly related.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.

Salary$3,735 per 3‑credit course
* Eligibility for promotion to Lecturer and an increased rate of compensation are negotiated between the College and the Curry College AAUP.
