American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring an active MA RN license and the ability to independently interpret telemetry strips.
Details- Work in the 3 North Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a hospital
- Care for a wide variety of surgical patients with an overflow of medical patients
- 12-hour night shift schedule, every other weekend required
- 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
- Floating required between all Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed
- Unit does not have dedicated tele techs; RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting their own telemetry strips
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active RN license through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing required at time of consideration
- Current CPR and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a pass/fail ECG/Telemetry test and Medications test during onboarding, administered via Zoom prior to acceptance with only one attempt allowed
- Flu vaccination required, with medical exemptions only accepted
- Provide telemetry-based nursing care across a mixed surgical and medical patient population
- Independently read and interpret telemetry strips due to the absence of dedicated tele techs on the unit
- Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for 6+ months and in good standing to be considered
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, and local candidates are not accepted
- COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
