Quality Assurance Manager, Senior

Our client, a leader in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Manager to join their team. As a Senior Quality Assurance Manager, you will be part of the Quality Department supporting the production facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Toledo, Ohio

• Provide strategic vision and leadership for the Quality Department, setting direction and building capability.
• Advocate for product quality, safety, and compliance throughout the organization.
• Supervise, coach, and develop direct reports to achieve corporate and department goals.
• Manage corrective and preventative action (CAPA) processes and lead continuous improvement activities.
• Develop and implement new programs, policies, and procedures around Quality Control and Food Safety.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Must have 5+ years of quality assurance experience in food manufacturing, with expertise in canning, UHT, and aseptic processing.
• Certified Process Authority or experience with thermal processing validation (retort, UHT).
• Strong knowledge of FDA low-acid canned food (LACF) and aseptic regulations (21 CFR Part 113 & 114).
• Experience with GFSI schemes (SQF, BRC, FSSC 22000) and audit procedures.
