Job Summary
Milton High School – Milton, Vermont is seeking a Job Developer to work with the Work‑Based Learning Coordinator and other professionals to develop and support employment placements for students within the community. The role supports the mission of the MHS Work‑Based Learning Program to help every high school student conclude their public education with a clear career plan and to inform them of the various education and training options they can pursue to achieve it.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with community employers to create and manage student employment opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Work‑Based Learning Coordinator to provide support and guidance to students during placements.
- Coordinate transportation logistics, including use of personal car to transport students to job sites on scheduled school days.
- Assist students in preparing application materials, interview skills, and job readiness training.
- Monitor and evaluate student placement progress, ensuring alignment with educational goals.
- Preferred: 4 years of experience in a public school setting, 4 years working with students in community‑based settings, or an equivalent amount of experience in a vocational program.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Strong communication skills, high level of independence, flexibility, and willingness to work in community job settings.
- Citizen, resident, or work visa required.
- Position Type:
Full‑time - Pay Range: $20.97 to $29.97 per hour (based on experience and degrees per the Support Staff Master Agreement).
- Hours:
6.5 per day, 5 days per week. Starting date:
