Position Overview
Perrigo Nutritionals, located in Milton, VT, is seeking several new Packaging Operators for its Manufacturing team. All training will be provided. Positions are for night shifts.
Shifts & AvailabilityNight shift: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM ET on a repeating 2‑2‑3 schedule (Week A: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat; Week B: Sun, Wed, Thu). All shifts require availability for potential off‑shift, weekend, and/or holiday coverage as business needs change.
Compensation & Benefits- Base pay: $22 / hour + 15% shift premium; compensation may increase with experience.
- Retention bonus: $2,500.

2027 Plant Closure DisclaimerIn March 2025, Perrigo announced that operations at the Milton, VT facility will migrate to Eau Claire, WI, with an estimated sunset of July 2027. Production will continue for approximately two more years. Employees who remain through the transition will receive severance:
- ≥12 months tenure: 52 weeks of base pay, bonus, and company‑paid COBRA for up to one year.
- Less than 12 months tenure: 36 weeks of base pay, bonus, and COBRA.
All new hires will be full‑time, regular, benefits‑eligible, and at‑will employees.
Scope of the Role- Manufacturing Operations
- Frequent quality “checks”
- Documentation
- Cleaning of equipment and packaging areas
- General housekeeping
- Rework assistance
- Other duties as assigned
Additional cleaning & sanitation duties include:
- Completing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklists
- Training on chemical handling and use
- Normal dry cleans
- Wet washes
- Assembly/disassembly of equipment
- Compliance with GMP, SOPs, and work instructions
- High School diploma (or GED) required.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English for safety protocols, SOPs, signage, and verbal instructions.
- Ability to perform duties safely, efficiently, and sanitarily.
- Computer proficiency and use of various systems and applications.
- Excellent attendance record and work history.
- Mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Ability to write legibly for documentation.
- Basic math and reading/comprehension skills.
- Willingness and ability to wear appropriate PPE per zoning requirements.
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 55 lbs.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs, work at elevated heights, and in various climates (hot and cold).
- Stand for approximately 90% of a 12‑hour shift.
- Exposure to noise.
