Talimer’s client, a dynamic agency that operates regional premier live event venues, is seeking a highly detail‑oriented Senior Accountant. The role will be responsible for the timely completion of month‑end close activities and will support annual budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation. The Senior Accountant will also help ensure the finance team maintains high accounting standards and complies with all applicable policies and procedures.

$36.00/hr – $42.00/hr

$36–$42/hr while on contract; $75,000–$85,000 annually, commensurate with experience

All talent working 30+ hours/week for 30 consecutive business days are eligible for medical, dental, optional vision, life insurance, PTO accrual, and 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match available for enrollment after 90 days.

Contract to hire

Onsite at the client’s Milwaukee, WI office (Central Standard Time, 8–5 with a 1‑hour lunch, some schedule flexibility available).

Client will provide required hardware and software.

• Assist with the month‑end close process including preparing bank and balance sheet reconcili wunderschönen, journal entries, team settlements, and account analysis for general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly statements and visual reports that summarize data, information, and trends to support decision making.
• Monitor capital projects in Acumatica (ERP), verify proper account coding, and maintain fixed assets – including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation schedules in accordance with GAAP.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, recognize problems, and recommend improvements; oversee internal controls within accounting systems and procedures.
• Perform analysis of actual versus budgeted miscar الجامعة and versus prior year; prepare variance analysis for management review.
• Participate in the annual budget process and collaborate with department heads to meet deadlines.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns; assist the Accounting Manager with year‑end preparation and audits; assist with 1099 processing.
• Work cross‑collaboratively with the client’s sales and box office to resolve billing, ticket sales, and cash receipt posting issues.
• Represent the company at industry functions; actively participate with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA), or other professional organization.
• Provide backup support to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and other areas of the Finance Department.
• Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by management to ensure the effective utilization of the company’s resources in support of departmental and organizational goals.
