St. Vincent Pallotti Parish is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our parish office team as our Bookkeeper. This is a part-time position (20–24 hours per week).
The Bookkeeper provides bookkeeping, financial operations, and administrative support for the Parish and School. They work collaboratively with the Director of Finance and Human Resources, Pastor, school administration, parish staff, volunteers, and parishioners in support of the mission of the Parish and School.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Banking and Deposits
- Parish Contributions and Donor Records
- Scrip Program Support
- Administrative Support
- Internal Controls and Confidentiality
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience preferred.
- Experience in a parish, Catholic school, nonprofit, or faith-based organization preferred.
- Proficiency in Quick Books, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with clergy, staff, volunteers, parishioners, and school families.
