Badger Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant for a Hybrid full-time opportunity in Milwaukee, WI
.
This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys being close to the manufacturing operation. You'll take ownership of product costing, inventory valuation, cost standards, and margin analysis, while partnering closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing.

Opportunity to make a measurable impact on product costs, margins, and profitability
- Maintain and update standard costs for manufactured products, materials, and subcontracted work
- Manage monthly inventory valuation, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Partner with Engineering and Purchasing on costing for new products and engineering changes
- Prepare and analyze product margins, COGS, purchase price variances (PPV), and job costs
- Support Sales and Marketing with product costing and pricing analysis
- Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and other cost accounting activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 2+ years of cost accounting experience
, ideally within a manufacturing environment - Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Purchasing
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organization and communication skills
- CPA is a plus, but not required
