REQ-The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience in corporate accounting while supporting accurate and timely financial reporting. ** What You’ll Do and Impact:
*** Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation to ensure accurate general ledger accounting and month-end reporting.
* Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to support complete and accurate financial results.
* Prepare monthly financial reports that help Finance and business leaders understand performance and make informed decisions.
* Analyze actual-to-budget results and communicate key variances to improve visibility into financial performance.
* Improve recurring accounting and reporting processes using AI, automation and technology to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
* Support financial planning and analysis through accurate financial data, reporting and ad hoc analysis.
* Maintain customer sales tax exemption information and supporting records to ensure accurate tax treatment.
* Manage assigned accounting responsibilities with appropriate independence while collaborating with the Corporate Accounting team.  
** What You’ll Bring:
*** Current enrollment in a four-year undergraduate Accounting program with completion of at least one foundational accounting course.
* GPA of 3.3 or higher.
* Ability to work 15–20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis and basic financial modeling.
* Ability to analyze financial information, investigate discrepancies and apply sound judgment to accounting and business questions.
* Ability to communicate financial information clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.
* Ability to learn and apply new accounting processes, technologies and tools as business needs evolve.
* Ability to use technology, including AI-enabled tools, responsibly to improve productivity, analysis and accounting processes.
