Senior Executive Assistant – Northwestern Mutual
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Senior Executive Assistant to support an executive-level officer. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a keen ability to anticipate needs, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and enabling our executives to focus on strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities- Manages the executive’s calendar, travel arrangements, and schedules meetings and appointments across multiple time zones.
- Oversees and monitors all correspondence, including emails, calls, and mail.
- Drafts communications, reports, presentations, and spreadsheets; conducts research and generates reports by collecting data from various tools or consolidating information.
- Coordinates meetings, prepares agendas, takes minutes, and coordinates functional employee meetings and events.
- Files and organizes all documents both paper and electronic, including emails, reports, and presentations.
- Manages and monitors expenses to meet company budget requirements.
- Assists in elevating the employee experience by coordinating employee events and functional communications.
- Provides work direction to other administrative staff as needed.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in handling materials and sensitive information.
- Previous experience supporting SLT/ELG leaders at Northwestern Mutual or a similar senior executive environment.
- Associate’s degree or specialized training; college degree preferred.
- Strong technical skills in MS Office and strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Resourceful and adaptable to handle a variety of tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize projects and be proactive; strong teamwork and coordination skills.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in handling materials and sensitive information.
