Job Overview
The Dispatcher is responsible for the timely and accurate dispatch of sub‑haulers for vehicle pick‑up and delivery while providing excellent service to customers. The dispatcher coordinates outbound calls, ensures sub‑haulers meet company requirements, and maintains documentation.
Responsibilities- Outbound calls to pick‑up locations and sellers.
- Dispatch sub‑haulers for vehicle pick‑up and delivery within company timelines.
- Ensure sub‑haulers meet company requirements prior to dispatching.
- Solicit business and utilize cost‑effective vendors to meet budget objectives.
- Educate sub‑haulers on company policies and procedures.
- Maintain and archive documents, monitor incoming documents and print reports as needed.
- Answer phone calls, collect payments on member deliveries, and print checks.
- Manage vendor relationships and comply with safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Two years of dispatch experience.
- One year of customer service experience.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Typing speed of 45 words per minute and basic ten‑key proficiency.
- Basic math skills and computer proficiency (MS Office).
- Ability to operate office equipment, multi‑task, and work in a fast‑paced, diverse environment.
- Strong attention to detail, minimal supervision, and occasional overtime as needed.
- Bilingual skill is a plus.
$21.05 – $23.71 per hour
