Accounting & Administrative Assistant – Wauwatosa, WI

Trillium Staffing is now hiring an Accounting & Administrative Assistant in Wauwatosa WI! ($18–$22/hr)

We are seeking an Accounting & Administrative Assistant to support both accounting operations and general office functions. This position is contract-to-hire and offers the opportunity to grow with a fast-paced, organized, and collaborative team.

This role handles bookkeeping tasks, AP/AR support, payroll assistance, documentation management, and coordination across departments. The team is currently transitioning from Sage to Unanet ERP, so flexibility, curiosity, and strong follow-through are essential.

Duties
  • Maintain daily bookkeeping tasks and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll preparation.
  • Track expenses, reconcile accounts, and update financial spreadsheets.
  • Assist with project setup, billing documentation, and data entry.
  • Provide administrative support to accounting, HR, and leadership teams.
  • Manage document organization, reminders, filing, and general office needs.
  • Follow up on open items and help ensure deadlines are met.
  • Occasionally assist with packaging or inventory support as needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication — comfortable asking questions and following up.
  • Proactive, dependable, and self‑directed.
  • High attention to detail with accurate data‑entry skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment.
  • Proficient in Excel and Smartsheet.
  • 0–2 years of administrative or accounting experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Sage, Quick Books, or Unanet is a plus.
